Plan your night in a glance

A score for tonight

One number from 0 to 100 that combines cloud cover, rain chance, transparency, seeing and moonlight, so you know at a glance whether to set up.

Hour by hour

See how conditions change through the evening, so you can pick the best window instead of guessing.

What to look at

The Moon, planets, galaxies, clusters, nebulae and double stars, ranked for tonight and for the scope you own. Objects that are not well placed are set aside.

Your telescope

Choose from smart telescopes, Dobsonians, reflectors, refractors and catadioptrics, or enter your own, and Meridian judges what you can really see.

Best time and height

For every object, see when it is highest and in which direction to look, with an altitude chart for the night.

Alerts before it peaks

Tap the star on anything you want to see. Meridian alerts you ahead of its best time, if the forecast still looks good.

A planning aid, not a promise

Forecasts change, so always look at the sky. Meridian uses your location to work out what is above your horizon and to fetch your local forecast.
